Southern Attractions (5d/4n)

This trip is to discover the busiest and most diversified city of Vietnam, which was once regarded as "Far Eastern Pearl". You will see the city's modern beauty in the centre and visit war vestiges in the suburb and also enjoy the exciting boat cruise through typical attractions of Mekong Delta , Vietnam 's "Rice Basket" with vast fruit plantations, bustling floating markets.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Cu Chi tunnel - Shopping (B)

 In the morning, you will explore the remarkable underground tunnel network and former Viet Cong stronghold at Cu Chi, 30 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Cu Chi Tunnels consist of a network of more than 200 km of underground tunnels used by resistance fighters during the U.S./Vietnam War.

In the afternoon, free time for your own shopping at local markets and shopping centre.

Day 3: My Tho day trip (B, L)

In the morning, depart for My Tho Town. Stop at Go Den Winery to see how they make & taste sticky rice wine and to interact with local people. After rrival in My Tho, take the boat ride across the Mekong River. Transfer to a sampan row boat along the natural canal. Visit a local house, orchard garden, bee farm, sampling honey tea, taking horse-cart ride, coconut candy factory… Lunch at a local house on the island with local specialties.

In the afternoon, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon for overnight.

Day 4: City tour (B)

Start the morning tour by visiting the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975. Then take a photo stop at some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Continue to visit the War Museum, Ben Thanh market for shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City departure (B)

A good opportunity to do some last minute shopping before your transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your ongoing flight.
